Missing Links

Missing Links

The primary goal of our Society is to serve as a clearing-house for research on all Park/e/s immigrants from the British Isles. This research clearing-house may help us, its members, discover our lineage back to our immigrant ancestors, and help other members locate their ancestors as well. Some of us have reached an ancestor whose parents are unknown to us (the proverbial "brick wall") and we may wonder if others are looking for these same parents. A search of our Society's database of names and other forms of lineage information, such as family group sheets, may discover which members may share a common ancestry.

Wouldn't it be great if those of us who share a "missing link" could have all the information known to the Society about our family available in a separate collection?

Jean Churchill PS#934, the Society's Missing Links Editor, has begun a series of case studies. Each study is an article about a member whose lineage has not yet been traced to an immigrant ancestor, compiling all the known information in a concise manner for all to view. In each of these articles/compilations, Jean describes one or more member's earliest established ancestor and traces the known descendants sufficiently close to the present in hopes that a reader may recognize a connection. This connection may be to an established Society immigrant, to an immigrant new to our Society, or to an earlier ancestor than was known when the article was published.

If you have a lead to help find a missing link, please wobens1899@gmail.com to Jean and, if possible, the individual member(s) mentioned in the article.
